Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet Disbands

November 07, 2007 By: Aaron Category: Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet, SG Artists, SG Industry News, SG Music

Singing News has the story here.

I must admit, I did see this coming, especially when there was no mention of an audition process for the tenor position for the group, which is usually announced along with the departure. It’s a shame, really; this was a great group, and their latest bass singer, Jerry Pilgrim, is one of the best kept secrets in SG right now. I really hope he can find a well-known group to go around with.

Tony Jarman Leaves Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet

October 20, 2007 By: Aaron Category: Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet, SG Artists, SG Industry News, SG Music, Tony Jarman

I’m shocked….

From a rather short email update from the group:

“Date: October 19, 2007
Tony Jarman leaves the Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet. A solo tour is slated to beginin 2008.”

I can only hope that further information will be released…
Tony’s a great tenor, but hasn’t he tried a solo career before? Ah well.

Best of luck to both parties involved…
